We are glad to announce “Shakespeare Lives in Films” program initiated and supported by British Council in Riga. Being part of the global programme of events and activities celebrating the work of playwright, poet and actor William Shakespeare, marking the 400th anniversary of his death in 2016.
We will celebrate Shakespeare as one of the greatest culture figures, a writer who belongs to the world and continues to influence so many creative persons even after his death. We are screening 6 classic film adaptations dedicated to Shakespeare’s art during one year since April.
