The British Council is working with the National Centre for Education and the School 2030 project
Since 2016, the British Council has been working with the Education Development Centre through projects involving both teachers and young people, promoting their participation.
In order to help improve the professional skills of English teachers, the British Council is co-operating with the Latvian Association of Teachers of English.
Supporting further education of teachers in Latvia’s regions, the British Council co-operates with Daugavpils Education Board in organising joint conferences and experience exchange trips.
The British Council has developed a high quality co-operation with Education and Information Services of Riga City, which offers a variety of teacher professional training courses every day.
Together with QUO tu domā? organisation, not only Debate Leader School classes, but also summer camp and other activities take place, where young people test and practice their knowledge
Several projects have been implemented not only in Riga, but also in Latgale to encourage the people of Latvia to think about their future with awareness of their personal resources
To promote media literacy and critical thinking, the British Council has collaborated with the teaching staff and students of the Latvian Academy of Culture on numerous projects.
